Brennan Turns 3 (Pictures)

April 2nd Brennan turned 3 years old. As I've heard and said, "the days go by slow, but the years go by fast." His actual birthday was a Tuesday which I had off. We got up and I took him on a train ride...a real train! We rode the train from Bellingham down to Mount Vernon...he had a blast!

After that we took him to a park in Bellingham and let him open one of his presents; a T-ball set! (See pics). Then it was lunch at one of his favorite spots, Taco Lobo...yummy! After that it was nap, dinner with Grandpa and Grandma Greene, and then off to Menchie's for some self-serve frozen yogurt with all the fixin's.

Birthday #2 was his actual party on Saturday...it was in Bellingham at Julie's parents house and we had a full house with many from my family coming up to join. T-ball at the neighbors house, followed by spaghetti and cake and tons of fun.

Brennan's Birthday...videos

Brennan turned 3 on April 2nd. To celebrate, we...
- Went on a train ride (B'ham to Mount Vernon)...he loved it
- Went to a park where he opened some presents (T-ball stuff) and played on the playground
- Went to one of his favorite lunch places (Taco Lobo)

Still to do as of this writing,
- Play outside
- Go to Menchies (self-serve frozen yogurt with toppings)

And of course, his main birthday party which is Saturday. :-)

Whidbey Trip!

We got to spend a few days down at Whidbey Island (thanks Uncle Dave). We had tons of fun! Enjoy the pics below...

Sledding at Baker!!

Had a day off and the weather was perfect so we loaded up Brennan, some warm clothes, his new sled, and headed up to Baker in search of snow and fun. It was perfect. Shockingly there were very few people there and since it was a Tuesday, the upper ski area was closed. We hung out right around the lift area and had a blast. Brennan liked sledding on the smaller hill, not so much on the big hills. He also loved digging around in the snow with his "beach/garden toys" and throwing snow up in the air. As you might guess, there's a lot of pictures.

B and B'ham: Two Assignments

It was a gray, overcast day in downtown Bellingham on Monday, February 18th. I had two chunks of time; one with Brennan and one without. With both chunks of time I wanted to enjoy one of my passions; photography. But with the lighting terrible; (middle of the day, gray, overcast, light drizzle), I had to kind of make up a challenge for myself and get creative to enjoy the photography.

So with my first chunk of time, with Brennan, I put my camera into Black & White mode and fired away. I don't know why but I've never done this...and I really enjoyed some of the images I captured.

With my second chunk of time, I went back to color and tried to photograph just that...color. On a gray day, one of the main sources of color (downtown) is signage...so I looked for some fun things to shoot and tried to find some color.
