B, Orca's, Boats and More

Saturday, Julie, Brennan and I, along with Julie's parents went on a whale watching trip out of Bellingham. It was a perfect day. Supposed to rain a bit, but we hit blue skies for most of the day. Brennan was a dream, sticking to his nap schedule on the boat (an 8+ hour) trip, and loved being on the water and hanging out with grandma and grandpa. We saw whales too. Lots of pics - I had over 200+, whittled those down to about 120+ and whittled that list down to the 64 in this album. To see all the pictures, click here. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who has the time - besides seeing the whales, you get a great boat tour of the san juan islands.  At the bottom of this post, I included a map of our route...we left Bellingham and looped all the way to the west side of San Juan Island and back.

B EATS

Small victory, but B ate some cereal last night (mixed with milk).  He loved it!!!  Pictures click here, video below!

Some "must see" videos!

The first one is called "B-Zilla" and is one that Andrew should understand.  The next one is a little long, (3+ minutes...when did our attention spans get so short), but is well worth it.  It's actually a compilation of 5 videos.  Brennan loves to sit in his "blue bouncy" chair while we eat and Julie seems to have a special ability to get him in hysterics!

We just got back from a week at Whidbey...and these pictures are not from that trip.  :-)  These are from earlier this month...just some new cute shots - oh, and every once in awhile, I still take pictures of subjects not named Brennan (i.e. the blue flower in our backyard).  Enjoy (click below to go to the album)

End of a long day.

New Videos!

A few things new for Brennan:
- He loves to be sung to. Daddy has lots of songs he has made up for Brennan like "blue eyes" and "Did you save any smiles for me?"
- He's rolling over all the way now.
- When he's happy, he screams with joy.
- He's now mostly sleeping through the night (and there was much rejoicing).
- He's growing fast...he's almost two inches longer/taller in the past month (gone from 24" to almost 26"). Think about that. He's grown about 8% in the last month. That would be like me growing 5" in the next 30 days. Wow.

It's Little B's World...the rest of us just exist

Little B continues to grow, sleep, eat, and well, you know.  His latest trick?  A couple of days ago he rolled completely over from back to front...twice!  He even got his arm out of the way.  Of course, once he got there, I'm not sure he enjoyed it a whole lot.

This past weekend we spent some time down at Whidbey with my brother and Dad.  Did some salmon, er, uh, dog-fish fishing.  I think I hooked 9-10 dogfish and landed 7-8 of them up to the boat.  Better than nothing I guess.  Dave and Dad reportedly tried eating a dogfish the other day and they claim it wasn't that bad.  Hmmm.

Father's Day Weekend at Whidbey

So I get home from work on Friday, around 4:00, and tell Julie about my long and tiring day. We do something we don't normally do...we act spontaneously, with Brennan even, and 40 minutes later we're totally packed, baby fed, and we're on the road to spend the night with my family at my brother's place on Whidbey Island.
