Kyle's 13th Birthday

This past weekend, we celebrated my oldest nephew Kyle's 13th birthday (on the 13th, no less). It was a great day and I am so proud of him - he's growing up to be a fine young man. As you can see from the pictures and video, he has a special way with Brennan as well.

Mother's Day

Yesterday was Julie's first "Mother's Day" and to fulfill her wish, we went out for a little walk in the park, and had a nice afternoon "tea" complete with scones (thank you Traci), fresh strawberries, and hot tea.  In case you're wondering, the park is Hovander and is up in Ferndale.  It's a huge park and has old barns, an old homestead, an orchard, a few gardens, some old tractors, tons of open grass fields for picnics and gatherings, and a beautiful lake with a board-walk that goes out (we didn't make it to the boardwalk).

So I was playing with him this morning and managed to get some smiles out of him.  It was the best part of my day!  See all the smiles here!

Ok, so every blog I write lately can be titled "more pictures of Brennan." But I just post and trust that you all out there, whoever you are, like to look at these pictures. Sunday, Brennan turned 1 month old...it is unbelievable! Time flies. Today, Tuesday, Julie called me at work and I got to listen to Brennan over the phone "sing/sleep."
